2013 Charles E. Cleveland Employee of the Year

After a jam packed year, the Quester team celebrated December 19th, 2013 for their annual holiday extravaganza. While enjoying this year’s Ugly Sweater theme, Quester took time to present the annual Charles E. Cleveland Employee of the Year award. This award honors an employee with individual outstanding achievement as well as continuously improving Quester as a whole. Our Director of Research, Andrea Joss, was named 2013’s Employee of the Year.

Andrea, who celebrated sixteen years with Quester over the summer, was selected not only for her individual achievements but also for her dedication to Quester – exemplifying the meaning behind the Charles E. Cleveland Employee of the Year award. One nomination stated:

Without her, I don’t know how Quester would manage. Somehow, she manages to help every department in one way or another … she seems to be part of all the successes here in one way or another … there is no better boss than her.

Another nomination said,

It’s hard not to get inspired and excited about working here because Andrea bleeds Quester blue and gold & you can tell that she loves this place and that’s infectious. I also work to model how I manage and lead based on the example she sets forth every day; she manages with grace and you know that she’s always got your back.

Truly touched, Andrea accepted the award with great joy and emotion.

The Charles E. Cleveland Award was created in 2008 by Quester’s employees to honor our founder, Dr. Charles Cleveland, who passed away in 2005. Dr. Cleveland formed Quester’s disciplined analytic approach to language, and spearheaded the development of Quester’s software interviewing and analytical platforms. He instilled in his team a sense of pride in their work, and the passion for continually advancing our tools and techniques. It is this spirit and passion that we recognize in the recipients of the Charles E. Cleveland award, and we are proud to extend this year’s honor to Andrea Joss.
