Meet the Questers

  • Andrea Richards, Senior Vice President

Andrea has built her career with a focus on adhering to Quester’s disciplined approach to linguistic analysis. As a cum laude graduate in Psychology and English from Buena Vista University, Andrea’s sensitivity to the nuances in language helps reveal the actionable insights within qualitative data. Over the past 15 years, Andrea has had, and continues to play, an instrumental role in the development of Quester’s software tools, including Socrates as well as Aristotle. • Andrea Joss, Director of Research

With a background in English/Professional Communication at Iowa State University, Andrea joined Quester over a dozen years ago as a moderator in the Field Department. She has been happily involved in the evolution of the company and the focus on technology and growth of Socrates and Aristotle. She applies her moderating background to helping Socrates conduct engaging and in-depth interviews, and uses her linguistic analysis skills to develop insightful findings. She enjoys the unique challenge of crafting an individual project from start to finish, working closely with clients to ultimately provide the answers they really need. Her overarching goal is to make sure everything Quester provides makes her clients look good. She loves the one of a kind environment at Quester, both the differentiated approach to research, as well as the talented, wonderful, giant-brained people who make the magic happen.

  • Alexander D. Parrish, Account Manager

After graduating Iowa State University with a B.S. in Business Management and International Business, Alex Parrish joined Quester in 2005. Early in his Quester career as an Analyst, Alex conducted in-depth interviews over the phone and in-person before Socrates “replaced” him as a moderator. As an Account Manager, Alex works with clients to design research to address their unique business or communication objectives. He likes getting into the nitty gritty of consumer responses and enjoys the challenge of painting a picture worth a thousand respondent words to tell a richer, more engaging story for our clients. Although he tends to annoy his friends with his probing and always asking for more definitional meaning, he loves trying to figure out what motivates people, how they go about making decisions, as well as listening to their unique stories and getting a glimpse into their world using Socrates.

Applying Quester’s Psychiatric and Linguistic techniques, she strives to understand the impact, of even the slightest, language nuances can have on decision making. As an Account Manager, Nichole designs research to ensure we meet the unique objectives of every client, and most importantly, translate learning’s into actionable steps that will ultimately impact the bottom line. Nichole’s goal is to make the research process easy, fruitful, and even exciting for clients.
